kkcenterhk water decal & stamping plate review

Hi there,

Sorry for the disappearance. I started a new course, and it was more demanding than anticipated.

I was contacted a couple of months ago by the lovely Maggie from kkcenterhk, to do a review on their products. I was so honoured she considered me, and was asked to choose from a list of products.

I chose a stamping plate and some water decals.

With this I came up with this mani.

Base Coat: Nail Tek II
Stamping Polish: Sally Hansen Insta Dri Rapid Red
Accent Nail: Barry M Matte White & Pucca water decal
Top Coat: Seche Vite

As I had never used water decals before, I thought they were super hard to work with, as they seem quite flimsy. But these were easy to work with. All I did was cut out the image I wanted and placed in water for 30 seconds, I then took it out and the water decal slid right off. Ensure nail polish is dry before applying on nail, and VIOLA. I then used a tissue to soak off the access water and topped off with my favourite top coat.

You can get these from kkcenterhk, and get this stamping plate here which is USD $5.05, and the Pucca water decals here which is USD $6.39 . I also have a coupon code for 10% off orders, which is valid until 31st January 2013. Just enter the following code at the checkout. stampnpolish.

I hoped you all enjoyed, and see you again soon.

NYC Sandwich

Hi there,

Today I'm bringing you a sandwich mani that I did since OPI released the NYC Ballet collection. I came up with this mani, in an attempt to find a dupe, and save some money. I seem to be doing that a lot. :o/ I'm trying to save some pennies for a massive blowout on holiday.

Trying to keep cost to a minimum, I used polishes which I already have. I went through my stash, and found a silver glitter polish from L.A colors. I realised I have a a lot of glitter polishes which all look similar, but still feel the need to buy more, when I see them in the shop.

I started with the NYC then added the silver glitter polish, then added 2 coats of NYC again.

Overall, I think it turned out ok, and keeps me happy for now, so don't need to splurge on the OPI's Barre My Soul & Pirouette My Whistle.

NYC: 1 coat
L.A Colors Silver Glitter: 1 coat
NYC : 2 coats
NYC top coat

I hope you all enjoyed, and hopefully see you guys soon.

Birthday Mani

Hi there,

Sorry for the absence. Life has been pretty hectic recently. So mush is going on with work and studies.

It was my birthday last week, and thought I'd use some of my favourite polishes, for a gradient and stamping mani.

I started off with BK 10, then sponged on Ellen Golds Cinzo Chumbo & BK 20 on the tips. Using a black polish to stamp I used the zebra print on Konad M57. I just stamped the tips, as didn't want to hide too much of the holo effect.

BK 10: 1 coat

Stamping Polish: W1 Black
Top Coat: NYC In a Minute Grand Central Station

I hope you all enjoy, and see you again soon.
