OPI Mermaid's Tears

Hi there,

Today I'm bringing you OPI's Mermaids Tears, from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection. I was contemplating on buying this since the collection came out earlier this year. A fellow blogger had this on her blog sale, so decided to nab it since it was going for a reasonable price. I don't really like pastel colours on my nails, as I find them really hard to work with. This was no exception. I had a hard time applying this polish, as it is very sheer, and I had bald spots even after 2 coats, so I had to apply 3 coats to get the opacity.

This color is hard to describe, it's in between a green and turquoise, depending on the lighting. Some have described it as the Tiffany Blue, however, I don't think it is. I dunno, what do you think?

I got bored with this mani after a couple of hours, so decided to spruce it up with some stamping. I just started stamping nails, so please excuse the poor stamping. I just stamped random flowers.

Base Colour: OPI Mermaids Tears
Stamping Polish: Wet 'n' Wild's Black Creme
Konad Plate: M60
Seche Vite Top coat
