Nails Inc Motcomb Street, OPI Crown Me Already & Essie Set In Stones

Hi there,

Today I'm bringing you a few polishes, thought I'd do a swatch of some of my polishes in my stash which I haven't had a chance to swatch yet. I'm also going to do a comparison.

First of, Nails Inc's Motcomb Street. This is a gorgeous navy polish, perfect for the winter. This almost applied perfectly, it was nearly opaque in 1 coat, but decided to apply 2 as I had a bald spot here and there. Overall, I'm loving the formula and colour.

Next up is OPI's Crown Me Already (Ms Universe Collection 2011) & Essie's Set In Stones (Luxeffects Collection 2011). They look quiet similar in the bottle, so thought I'd compare them.

I applied 1 coat of CMA on my index finger & 1 coat of SIS on my ring finger. As I explained, they're quiet similar in the bottle. However, that's where the similarities end.

Formula: CMA was more runny, and SIS was quite thick. (Good thick)

Glitter Particles: CMA has tiny, tiny micro glitters, SIS has micro glitters. Both have hex glitter particles, but SIS has a load more.

Ok, so the next thing may seem weird, but this is a major thing for me. I dunno if this bothers you, but when I run my fingers along my nails, I like it to feel smooth, no scratches, no chips in the polish, no lump and bumps.

Feel: As CMA has tiny micro glitters, and not a lot of hex glitter, this was super smooth after Seche Vite Top Coat, but as SIS has loads of hex glitters, it was a bit bumpy, even after a layer of Seche Vite.

Nails Inc Motcomb Street: 2 coats
Index finger: OPI Crown Me Already:1 coat
Ring Finger: Essie Crown Me Already: 1 coat
Seche Vite Top Coat

CMA looks as though it has blue micro glitters, however it doesn't, I was impatient and MS hadn't dried properly, so it transferred to the glitters. My bad.

Overall, I actually prefer Essie's Set In Stones, even after the bad sensation it gives. LOL. Maybe I can apply 2 coats of Seche Vite. :o) I just like how with 1 coat it covers my whole nail. With CMA, it seems like I did not apply it properly, and was patchy, maybe because it does not have enough hex glitters?

Hope you guys enjoy and see you again soon.
